Privacy Policy

Sunnah Companion is built to keep your worship private. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Stored only on your device

• Your checklist, streaks, tasbih counts, journals (gratitude, niyyah, sadaqah, mood), Qur'an bookmarks, reading history and settings.
• Anything you download for offline use: Qur'an text, tafsir, word-by-word meanings, recitation and azkar audio, and saved prayer times.

This never leaves your device unless you export a backup yourself. Uninstalling the app, clearing site data, or Settings → "Erase all data" removes it.

Sent to fetch content

• Prayer times: your city and country, or your approximate coordinates if you choose "Use my location", are sent to Aladhan to calculate prayer times. Location is only read when you tap that button, and is never shared with anyone else.
• Qur'an, tafsir and audio: requested from alquran.cloud, cdn.islamic.network, quran.com, hisnmuslim.com and mp3quran.net. These services see a normal web request (like visiting a website), not who you are.

Groups (optional)

Only if you create or join a group, the app shares with that group: the first name you enter, the group's name, today's number of completed practices, and your streaks. It is stored on our Supabase database so group members can see each other's progress. No email, phone number or password is ever asked for. Leaving a group removes you from it.

Notifications and permissions (Android)

• Notifications and alarms: prayer and adhkar reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to a server.
• Location: used only as described above.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
